We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming secondary school located on Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their team from September.

This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to delivering engaging English lessons and inspiring students to achieve their full potential. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.

Your role will involve delivering engaging, high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5, depending on your experience. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment while supporting pupils to develop their knowledge, confidence, and academic achievement.

As an English Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging English lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum
  • Teaching across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 depending on experience
  • Assessing, monitoring, and recording pupil progress where required
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and the wider school community
  • Following all safeguarding and school procedures

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
  • Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Have strong communication and organisational abilities
  • Are passionate about raising student attainment and engagement
  • Are adaptable, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching
  • Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • ECTs are welcome to apply
