Part-Time | Monday to Friday | School Hours

Are you passionate about helping learners develop the essential skills they need to succeed?

We are looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to support students in the ST16 area of Stafford. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver personalised tuition that helps learners build confidence and achieve their English and Maths goals.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging one-to-one Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet each learner's individual needs and abilities.
  • Support learners in developing confidence, independence, and core skills.
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of each session.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills.
  • Strong knowledge of English and/or Maths.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, flexible, and learner-focused approach.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
