£80 - £90 Per day

Job Duties:

Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in classroom settings
Assist the teacher in implementing individualised education plans for students with SEN
Support students with their learning activities and help them to engage with the curriculum
Monitor and record student progress and behaviour, reporting any concerns to the teacher
Work with small groups or individual students to provide additional support as needed

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEN

Education:

Some college or vocational training in education or a related field

Experience:

Experience working in a classroom or educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of Special Educational Needs and how they may impact learning
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

Work primarily takes place in a classroom setting
May involve assisting students with personal care or mobility needs
Full-Time hours, temporary position with potential for extension

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
