JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

South East England, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes

Job Type:

Temporary, Full-Time hours

£80 - £90 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for students
  • Help students with learning activities and provide guidance and encouragement
  • Support students with personal care and social development
  • Assist in managing behaviour and creating a positive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children with SEN
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Relevant experience working with children with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy towards students with special needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school environment
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviours
  • Full-time hours, temporary position

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
