SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a fantastic SEN school based in Lowestoft. This school supports pupils aged 4-16 with complex learning needs and requires a large amount of day to day and last minmute staff cover. Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a number of TAs who are able to work on a flexible basis throughout the week. This would be ideally suited to a TA who is looking to gain more experience with SEN or one who is looking for a better work/life balance.

Position:

• Supporting the class teacher with the daily running of the class 
• some 1:1 and small group work 
• Assisting with the setting up and setting down of the classroom
• Behaviour and classroom management 

Requirements:

• · Have experience working within Primary/Secondary or SEN schools
• -Experience working with SEN
• · Hold either a degree or a teaching assistant qualification
• -Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour
• -Background in care
• · Hold a valid up to date clean DBS check on the update service
• - UK address and right to work 
• - Level 3 TA qualifications (desired not required)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
