JOB TITLE: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Oakham/Melton Mowbray

Job Type: Full-Time & Part-time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £83.50 - £100 Per day

Hours: 8:30-3:30

Ideal Applicants:

  • Passionate about the continuing learning and development of young people
  • Have experience working in education or with young people either in a work or personal capacity
  • Be a proactive person willing to get involved and dedicate yourself to excelling within your role
  • Driving License and vehicle is preferred but not essential
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Experience with SEN/Care
  • Strong and Effective communication skills 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist in the educational and social development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN
  • Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Look after the safety and well-being of students

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Teaching Assistant/Education based Qualification preferred but not essential

  • Be willing to apply for a Child Workforce DBS if successful at interview

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
