SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Location: Kettering
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and inclusive school community.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, caring, and committed to making a real difference in the lives of children who need additional support to succeed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs

  • Assist in delivering personalised learning plans under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo

  • Promote inclusion and encourage independence and confidence in pupils

  • Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs in and out of the classroom

  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers and external professionals


We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, speech and language, SEMH, etc.)

  • Is calm, resilient and empathetic in their approach

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

  • Is flexible, proactive and a strong team player
