SEN Teaching Assistants – Hindhead and Surrounding Areas

Do you have a passion for helping young people reach their full potential? We’re seeking Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team, working across a range of specialist and mainstream schools in Hindhead and nearby areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are caring, resilient, and enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

 

About the role:

  • Supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH)

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support, both inside and outside the classroom

  • Helping to implement individual learning plans and behaviour strategies under the guidance of teachers and SENCOs

  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning

  • Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive and nurturing environment

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting

  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive attitude

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different pupils and schools

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
