Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistants – Guildford and Surrounding Areas
Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education or child development? We’re looking for enthusiastic and empathetic graduates to work as Teaching Assistants across a range of mainstream and SEN schools in Guildford and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your psychological knowledge in a practical setting while making a real difference in the lives of young people.
About the role:

Supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and behavioural challenges
-
Working 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils engage with learning and develop key life skills

Assisting teachers and SENCOs in implementing tailored learning and behaviour plans
-
Observing and understanding student behaviour through a psychological lens – ideal for those considering careers in educational or clinical psychology

Helping to create an inclusive, positive classroom environment where every child can thrive
What we’re looking for:

A degree in Psychology or a related subject

A passion for working with children and young people
-
Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
-
A proactive, patient, and resilient attitude
-
Previous experience in schools, youth work, or care settings (desirable but not essential)

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
