We are in contact with a fantastic primary school based in Hackney which has a unit which specialises in students with SEMH needs of various degrees. The school are looking for an individual who is very passionate and committed to supporting students in key stage 1 and 2 with severe SEMH and trauma.

SEMH Support Assistant | Job Summary

• Work 1:1 and in groups with pupils in key stage 1 and 2

• Provide support to teenagers with trauma and social, emotional, and mental health needs

• Have a very positive approach in communicating with the students, improve their self-esteem and confidence

• Work alongside counsellors, social workers, and occupational therapists

• Full-time position working Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm

SEMH Support Assistant | About You

• Graduated with minimum 2:1 from a Top 30 UK University

• Have child-centred experience, preferably experience supporting vulnerable teenagers or children with SEMH

• You have a positive and uplifting personality

• You are patient, caring and compassionate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
