SEN Teaching Assistant.

Here at Teaching Personnel, we are very happy to announce that there is a full time role available for an SEN teaching assistant in Great Yarmouth. This role would involve supporting 15 pupils in KS1-KS2 who show challenging behaviour in the classroom. Yuou would be working with these pupils throughout the day (5 group sessions with 3 pupils per day), therefore the ideal candidate would have prior experience supporting pupils who can show challenging behaviour.
The role would include:
- Supporting the pupils throughout the school day
- Assisting the pupil with the work set out by the teacher
- Running small groups sessions with the pupils
- Behaviour/learning support
- Upholding the values of the school at all times
- Aiding with the set up and set down of the classroom
- Maintaining high levels of health and safety over the pupils
- Aiding the teacher with the day to day running of the class
The ideal candidate would have:
- Experience working in a Teaching Assistant role
- Experience working with SEN pupils
- A degree in a relavent subject (psychology, English/Maths or science)
- Safeguarding training
- Teaching assistant qualifications
- Manual handling training
- A hard working and positive attitude to all aspects of work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
