SEN Teaching Assistant – Permanent | Immediate Start with £1000 sign-on bonus!

Please Note: This role is to start as soon as possible. The advert will remain open until all 7 full-time vacancies are filled, but may close early if all positions are secured.

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking enthusiastic and caring SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist secondary setting for students aged 11 to 16, supporting inclusive and meaningful education every day. This is a warm, nurturing and forward-thinking specialist school set in a beautiful rural location. The school is highly regarded for its holistic approach, strong staff support, and commitment to helping every child thrive both academically and emotionally. Class sizes are small, relationships are strong, and staff are truly valued. Students have a range of Special Educational Needs, including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD) and Communication and sensory needs

 

The Role

  • Immediate start and all training provided

  • Working hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm

  • Supporting students in class, small groups, and 1:1

  • Helping young people develop confidence, independence and life skills

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience is not essential. Childcare experience, especially with SEN, is not required but would be beneficial

  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and patience, resilience and a positive attitude

  • Must be able to drive due to the rural location of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
