Do you believe every child deserves the chance to thrive, no matter their challenges?
We are looking for caring, dedicated individuals to join our team as Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistants in primary schools across Cornwall. This is more than a job – it is an opportunity to change lives every single day.

Your Role in the Classroom:

  • Be the trusted, consistent adult a child can rely on for encouragement and understanding.

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping children with additional learning needs engage, learn, and succeed.

  • Adapt lessons and activities so each child can take part, progress, and grow in confidence.

  • Support children with communication, sensory, emotional, and behavioural needs, celebrating every milestone they reach.

  • Work closely with teachers and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator to give each pupil the personalised support they deserve.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Someone who is patient, empathetic, and genuinely cares about children’s progress and happiness.

  • Experience of supporting children with additional needs such as autism, attention difficulties, or speech and language challenges is an advantage – but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred.

  • A valid enhanced criminal record check (or the willingness to apply for one).

Why You Will Love Working With Us:

  • You will see the direct impact of your support every day in the smiles, achievements, and confidence of the children you work with.

  • We offer competitive daily pay and access to free professional training in special educational needs.

  • You will have the support of a dedicated consultant who understands your role and is here to help you succeed.

  • Opportunities are available for both short-term and long-term work.
