Job description
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a school in Burnage who are actively seeking a Teaching Assistant to work both with small groups and 1:1 with pupils who have been diagnosed with various Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Year 2. The successful candidate will be working in a good, rated school that aims to enable individual children of all abilities to develop spiritually, physically, socially and intellectually in the fullest possible way. The successful educator will be working in a full-time role (8:30am-3:30pm) and is required to start in school as soon as possible.
The Role:
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
- Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored educational activities
- Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN to help them achieve their learning goals
- Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN
- Collaborating with other staff members and professionals to ensure the holistic development of students
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Relevant experience working with individuals with SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Level 2 Safeguarding Course (We can offer training for this qualification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
