SEN Teaching Assistant

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs at a welcoming and well-resourced campus in Bournemouth.

This is a part-time role with an immediate start, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact across both primary and secondary settings.

You will be supporting learners aged 3 to 18 in a calm, nurturing environment where inclusion, wellbeing and progress are truly valued.

 

The Setting

The campus provides a positive, supportive atmosphere with strong leadership, excellent facilities and a clear commitment to meeting the individual needs of every learner.

Staff work collaboratively, celebrating progress and ensuring pupils feel safe, understood and encouraged to achieve their potential.

 

The Role

You will support pupils with a range of SEN needs during the school day, working from 8.45am to 3.30pm.

Opportunities are available across primary and secondary age groups, allowing you to build varied experience while contributing to a consistent, structured learning environment.

 

Essential Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of six months’ childcare experience, with particular emphasis on supporting children or young people with SEN needs.

A patient, empathetic approach and the ability to build positive relationships are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
