SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Bournemouth | Immediate Start

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive specialist school in Bournemouth.

This full-time role offers the chance to work with children and young people aged 5 to 18 with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Physical Disabilities (PD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

 

About the Role
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 4.30pm, with an immediate start available.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and therapists to provide tailored support for pupils across both primary and secondary settings.

Your role will involve assisting with learning activities, supporting communication and sensory needs, and helping students develop independence, confidence, and essential life skills in a nurturing environment.

Requirements
We are looking for an empathetic and patient individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

To be considered for this role, you must have:
• A minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience
• Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with ASD, PD, PMLD or SLD
• A caring, adaptable, and proactive approach to learning support
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
