As an HLTA, you’ll be a key player in delivering tailored learning experiences for pupils aged 4–11 years old with diverse needs, including ADHD, ASD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural challenges.
You will:
- Lead small group interventions and support whole-class learning.
- Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment where every child can succeed.

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in SEN or PRU settings
- Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and positive behaviour management
- HLTA qualification / assessment
- Confidence to lead learning activities and support teachers effectively
- Resilience, patience, and a passion for inclusive education
- Ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
