Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Start Date: Immediate / January
Contract: Term-Time Only

Why You’ll Love This Role

As an HLTA, you’ll be a key player in delivering tailored learning experiences for pupils aged 4–11 years old with diverse needs, including ADHD, ASD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural challenges.

You will:

  • Lead small group interventions and support whole-class learning.
  • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment where every child can succeed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in SEN or PRU settings
  • Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and positive behaviour management
  • HLTA qualification / assessment
  • Confidence to lead learning activities and support teachers effectively
  • Resilience, patience, and a passion for inclusive education
  • Ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
