Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a Bank Support Worker to join a highly supportive and forward-thinking educational environment that places strong emphasis on personal development, independence and positive community values.

This is a full-time role with an immediate start, offering the opportunity to support learners in a vibrant secondary setting where every day brings variety and purpose.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, helping young people build confidence, develop essential life skills and participate fully in both learning and social activities.

This is a rewarding role suited to someone with a calm, caring and proactive approach.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support young people to develop life skills, independence and confidence

  • Encourage engagement in both educational and social activities

  • Promote a nurturing environment that inspires personal growth

  • Work collaboratively with staff to deliver personalised support plans

  • Act as a positive role model throughout the school day

  • Assist with daily routines and ensure student safety and wellbeing


Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of childcare experience, especially supporting young people with SEN

  • Driving licence essential due to the school’s location

  • Strong communication skills and a team-minded approach

  • Calm, mature and patient manner

  • Flexible attitude to varying day-to-day tasks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
