Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: B13

Salary £85-£89 a day

About the Role:

We are seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will support children with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher, the SENCO, and other support staff to provide tailored learning support, implement individual education plans (IEPs), and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Help pupils develop positive relationships and self-regulation strategies.
  • Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs.
  • Promote emotional wellbeing and resilience through positive reinforcement and structured routines.
  • Support behaviour management in a calm, consistent, and empathetic manner.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure each child receives the right support.
  • Contribute to creating a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

  • A proactive team player with a flexible approach.
  • Emotionally resilient and reflective in their practice.

Other requirements for role:

  • Willing to complete a DBS check or provide and updated version.
  • Provide 2 references
  • Proof of right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
