About the Graduate Teaching Assistant Role

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning in a structured and nurturing classroom environment.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group learning support to pupils with SEN

  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities

  • Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion

  • Helping create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment

  • Building trusting relationships with pupils and staff

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to apply)

  • Any experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary) is an advantage but not essential
