SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: West Midlands, Birmingham

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Salary: £83 - £85 Per day

Job Duties:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development. This includes assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons, providing one-to-one support to students, and helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

- Relevant experience in teaching assisting, particularly with SEN students

- Understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly

Education:

- Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

Experience:

- Previous experience working with SEN students in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional training in specific SEN areas such as autism or dyslexia

Working Conditions:

- Working hours are Full-Time, Monday to Friday

- The role may involve supporting students with various levels of SEN

- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic educational environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
