SEN Teaching Assistant - Colchester, Essex

Teaching Personnel is urgently recruiting Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants for one of our SEN Schools in Colchester, Essex.

You will be required to be available Monday to Friday from 08:30 - 15:30, ideally have transport and would either have supported SEN before or worked in a care environment, but have an evident passion to work in education.

The pupils needs vary as this is a Complex Needs SEN School. Pupils are statemented with SEN that generally incorporate sensory needs, from Autism (ASD / ASC) to/and Hearing Impaired / Visually Impaired, however this is only an example as the pupils needs are extremely varied.

The school offers the pupils, aged from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4, education and life skills and are passionate about delivering the highest standard of education and support for their pupils.

Some of the pupils may also require an element of personal care and the school also has a post-16 residential campus that might need support at times so experience with this is beneficial however not essential.
