The Role – Teach Your Subject, Make a Difference
You’ll work with pupils across KS3–KS4 (and sometimes KS5) with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism (ASC)
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
- Moderate to complex learning difficulties
- Speech, language & communication needs
In your role, you will:
- Deliver adapted, engaging lessons in your subject specialism
- Support pupils to achieve EHCP targets and personal goals
- Differentiate learning to meet a wide range of needs and abilities
- Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with support staff, SEN teams, and external professionals
Your subject knowledge remains vital—SEN settings simply allow you to deliver it in a more impactful way.
What You’ll Bring
- ✅ QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- ✅ Experience teaching in a secondary school setting (any subject)
- ✅ Strong understanding of adaptive teaching and differentiation
- ✅ Interest or experience in SEN, SEND, SEMH, or alternative provision
- ✅ A patient, flexible, and resilient approach to teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
