Special Needs Teacher - Scarborough, North Yorkshire
I am working with a special school in Scarborough, who will be coming to Teaching Personnel for their cover requirements in the next academic year. The School cater for children from 2-16 years old with a diagnosis of Special Needs, including SLD, PMLD and SLCN. The students require personalised learning plans, for which you will be responsible for planning and tracking their progress. If you have experience within this field, or with P-Scales, it would be advantageous.
The School are based in Scarborough and and in their October 2018 OFSTED, were graded as 'Good'. The Senior Leadership Team is very supportive and motivating, promoting a positive learning environment. The School have students in from 0900 to 1500 daily, with at least a 30 minute break.
As the ideal candidate you will need to hold the following qualifications and personality traits:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- A Degree related to the Education Sector
- Proven track record of increasing attainment levels via SATs boosters, Phonics sessions or personal successes with SEN students
- Be able to provide a stable 6 year career history and reference details
- Be open minded and charismatic
- Have a positive outlook and actively promote positive, hands on learning
