We are working with a school in West Didsbury, Manchester, who cater for students with a wide range of physical, complex medical and communication needs.

You must have experience supporting students who can display very challenging behaviour, or who require specialist assistance. You will be required to engage and interact with the children to enable them access the curriculum fully and cater to a variety of special educational needs.

The position will be working predominately with 3-16 year old pupils who have a variety of Special Education Needs ranging from physical, complex medical and communication needs. The school is committed to working together with everyone involved in the life of their pupils and the school.

Experience/ Personal Specification Required:

  • A PGCE or teaching qualification (preferably with QTS status)
  • A proven record of outstanding teaching and results
  • Experience working with SEN schools (desirable)
  • Team teach or restraint training
  • Go above and beyond expectations
  • Empathy and patience
