Teaching Personnel work with an SEN provision in the Leyland, Lancashire area and they are seeking a SEN Teacher for the new academic year. The role would suit a candidate who has worked in SEN / SEMH provisions before and has the ability to teach a range of subjects.
Predominantly you will be based in the Nurture department where you will work with KS3 pupils who have SEMH Difficulties, Autism and Learning Difficulties. However, on occasion, you will be expected to teach across KS4 also, therefore, flexibility is important for this role!
The School is based on the outskirts of Leyland with fantastic links to the M6 motorway and public transport.
The School caters for KS2 - 4 pupils with additional needs who can no longer remain in mainstream education and typically, class sizes are under 8 pupils per class.
The candidate applying for this role will ideally have strong behaviour management skills whilst maintaining the ability to show empathy towards the needs of the pupils and, have the ability to plan, prepare and deliver a range of subjects (assistance will be given with planning).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
