Learning Support Assistant (SEN)

⏰ Full-time (term time only)
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Brighton area to recruit a full-time Learning Support Assistant with proven SEN experience.
This school has a strong reputation for its nurturing ethos, inclusive values, and commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child feels safe, supported, and able to access learning in a way that meets their individual needs. The leadership team is approachable and highly supportive, with a clear focus on pupil wellbeing and staff development.
The Role:
-
Providing tailored support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
-
Working 1:1 and with small groups to support learning, communication, and emotional regulation
-
Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and develop independence
-
Working closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals
-
Creating a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Previous SEN experience is essential
-
Experience supporting needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language (desirable)

Patient, flexible, and empathetic, with a child-centred approach
-
Confident working as part of a supportive team
-
Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
