About the Role
As an SEN Tutor, you'll work one-to-one with students who need individualised attention and adapted learning approaches. Your patience, creativity, and empathy will help build confidence, engagement, and progress in core subjects.
Position: SEN Tutor
Location: Flexible (in-person or remote depending on student needs)
Pay Rate: £25–£30 per hour
Key Responsibilities

Deliver personalised lessons tailored to each learner’s needs and EHCPs

Support students in Maths, English, and/or functional skills
-
Use adaptive techniques to promote engagement and progress

Monitor development and communicate effectively with parents, schools, and local authorities
What We’re Looking For

Experience working with students with special educational needs
-
Understanding of EHCPs and a range of learning difficulties or behavioural needs
-
Ability to build trust and rapport with learners who may have faced educational challenges
-
A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to teaching

A teaching qualification or relevant SEN experience (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
