Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutors Required – Nottinghamshire
Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN tutors to provide tailored support to students with a range of additional learning needs across Nottinghamshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the academic and personal development of learners who benefit from one-to-one or small group support outside of the traditional classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver personalised tuition sessions adapted to the needs of each student

Support students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) difficulties
-
Use creative and flexible teaching strategies to engage and motivate learners
-
Monitor progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students, parents, and professionals
-
Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
-
Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
-
A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed) is desirable but not essential
-
Strong understanding of individualised learning and behaviour management strategies
-
Excellent communication, empathy, and organisational skills
-
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
