Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school environment?

Teaching Personnel is working with an outstanding specialist school in Wimbledon that caters to children aged 4-12 with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN).

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team, providing tailored education and fostering a nurturing learning environment for pupils with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with ASD, MLD, SLD, and SLCN.

  • Use a range of specialist strategies and interventions to support communication, social skills, and academic progress.

  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, Therapists, and SENCO to implement EHCPs and monitor pupil progress.

  • Create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing and learning.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching SEN (ASD, MLD, SLD, or SLCN).

  • Strong knowledge of SEND frameworks, EHCPs, and adaptive teaching strategies.

  • Experience with PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, or other communication aids (desirable).

  • Patience, resilience, and a child-centred approach to teaching.

  • A commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
