Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school environment?
Teaching Personnel is working with an outstanding specialist school in Wimbledon that caters to children aged 4-12 with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN).
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team, providing tailored education and fostering a nurturing learning environment for pupils with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with ASD, MLD, SLD, and SLCN.

Use a range of specialist strategies and interventions to support communication, social skills, and academic progress.

Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, Therapists, and SENCO to implement EHCPs and monitor pupil progress.

Create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing and learning.

Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching SEN (ASD, MLD, SLD, or SLCN).

Strong knowledge of SEND frameworks, EHCPs, and adaptive teaching strategies.

Experience with PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, or other communication aids (desirable).

Patience, resilience, and a child-centred approach to teaching.

A commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
