SEN Teacher – Full-Time – Mitcham
Start Date: ASAP (Will wait for the right candidate)
Agency: Teaching Personnel
Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS)
Contract: Long-term with potential to go permanent

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a specialist SEN provision in Mitcham to recruit a passionate and resilient SEN Teacher. This is a full-time role working with learners who have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and challenging behaviour.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive team that delivers high-quality education to students with complex needs. You will be working with small groups of pupils who require a personalised and therapeutic approach to learning. The role demands strong behaviour management skills, empathy, and a real passion for working with children who present with emotional and behavioural challenges.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience working with children with Autism and/or SEMH needs

  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviour in a positive, consistent way

  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, individualised lessons

  • A Child DBS on the Update Service (essential)

  • Availability to start ASAP (but we will wait for the right candidate)
