Teaching Personnel is proud to partner with an outstanding SEN school in Streatham that supports children aged 4-12 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN).

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their passionate team, delivering high-quality, individualised education to pupils with diverse and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver personalised, sensory-friendly lessons tailored to pupils with ASD, MLD, SLD, and SLCN.

  • Implement evidence-based interventions (e.g., TEACCH, PECS, Makaton) to enhance communication, engagement, and learning.

  • Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to monitor progress and adapt EHCPs.

  • Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that meets sensory and emotional needs.

  • Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic pupil development.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS, with experience teaching SEN (ASD, MLD, SLD, or SLCN).

  • Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice, EHCPs, and differentiation strategies.

  • Experience with behaviour support, AAC tools, or multisensory learning (desirable).

  • A patient, adaptable, and innovative approach to teaching.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development in SEN best practices.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
