SEND Class Teacher – Permanent Role (MPS – UPS)
Location: Wiltshire area
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Main Pay Scale – Upper Pay Scale (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025 or sooner by negotiation

We are working in partnership with a specialist education provision that supports children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. This school is part of a respected Multi-Academy Trust and is seeking a dedicated SEND Class Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role:

As a Class Teacher within the provision, you will lead a small group of pupils with complex needs, supported by a team of classroom assistants. Your role will focus on delivering high-quality, multi-sensory, and engaging lessons in line with the curriculum, while fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

You will also:

  • Prepare, implement, and review individual programmes and schemes of work

  • Lead on planning and assessment, including contributing to EHCP reviews

  • Promote positive behaviour and a safeguarding-first culture

  • Effectively manage and support classroom support staff

  • Take a lead on a subject area across the provision

  • Build strong, constructive relationships with parents and carers

About You:

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Has experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a specialist or alternative provision

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding

  • Can teach core subjects (particularly Maths and English) with a multi-sensory approach

  • Brings positivity, resilience, and a collaborative attitude to the classroom and wider school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
