SEN Teacher – Alternative Provision | Northampton | £30,000 - £40,000 | Full-Time or Part-Time | Permanent

The PWR team is working in close partnership with a specialist independent provision in Northampton to appoint a SEN Teacher on a permanent basis. This opportunity is open to both full-time and part-time applicants, depending on availability and suitability.

The school offers a nurturing and highly personalised education experience for approximately 35 pupils, with a focus on supporting young people to reintegrate into mainstream settings. You’ll be joining a close-knit, well-supported team that includes a Head of School, Deputy, a range of teaching staff, and dedicated support colleagues—all backed by wider regional and national expertise.

What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking creative and compassionate educators who can bring fresh ideas and foster a love of learning in a supportive, non-traditional classroom setting. The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS/QTLS (or be willing to work towards it)

  • Have a degree in a relevant subject area (desirable)

  • Be confident in delivering English, Maths and Science at a functional level

  • Bring experience or interest in SEN, alternative provision, or pastoral support

  • Hold or be working toward SENCO Advanced Certificate or Patoss AAA (desirable but not essential)

  • Be passionate about helping students re-engage with education in a way that meets their individual needs and challenges

  • Demonstrate resilience, flexibility, and a proactive mindset
