An SEN primary school in Manchester is looking for a full-time teacher to lead a classroom of children in KS2 with additional needs, starting as soon as possible. Most children within the class have a diagnosis of autism, and so require additional support from teachers and other members of staff to ensure they have a positive learning experience.

Role and responsibilities

  • Plan fun and engaging lessons appropriate for the individuals within the class
  • Deliver topics in a way that suits the learning ability of the children within the class
  • Work alongside other members of staff such as SLT and teaching assistants to develop comprehensive learning plans for each child
  • Give feedback to parents and support staff concerning each child and their progression
  • Uphold a high standard of safeguarding policy and procedure

For this role you must

  • Have a primary PGCE
  • Have previous experience teaching children with additional needs
  • Have previous experience planning fun and interesting lessons for KS1 children
  • Be available full time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
