Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist educational setting supporting children and young people aged 7–18.

This full-time position offers an immediate start, with the potential for long-term progression.

You will work with pupils who have:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

  • ADHD

  • Social, emotional and communication needs

  • Additional learning differences and sensory needs

 

 

About the Setting

  • Specialist day provision in a peaceful setting close to the town centre

  • Small class sizes (typically 2–6 pupils) allowing highly personalised learning

  • Strong focus on individual progress, independence and life skills

  • Supportive team including teaching assistants and therapeutic professionals

  • Inclusive environment where every pupil is encouraged to succeed

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs

  • Monitor and track pupil progress against EHCP targets

  • Provide a nurturing and structured learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with support staff, families and external professionals

  • Uphold safeguarding and professional teaching standards

 

 

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly autism and ADHD

  • Patient, adaptable and enthusiastic approach

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Committed to making a lasting difference in young people’s lives

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
