This is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding teacher who understands the importance of Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Education and Relationships & Sex Education (RSE) in preparing children and young people for adulthood. About the Role

You will deliver an engaging and inclusive PSHE and RSE curriculum that equips pupils with the knowledge and skills they need both inside and outside the classroom.

  • Planning and delivering high-quality PSHE and RSE lessons across KS2, KS3 and KS4.
  • Adapting learning to meet the needs of pupils with autism, SEMH, ADHD, speech and language needs, moderate learning difficulties and complex SEND.
  • Promoting emotional wellbeing, healthy relationships, online safety, independence and personal development.
  • Creating a safe, respectful classroom environment where sensitive topics can be explored appropriately.
  • Supporting pupils to develop confidence, resilience, self-awareness and decision-making skills.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams, therapists and senior leaders.
  • Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP targets, annual reviews and individual learning plans where required.
  • Ensuring safeguarding, equality and inclusion remain central to all teaching and learning.

About You

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have recent teaching experience within SEND, specialist education or alternative provision.
  • Be confident teaching pupils across Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4.
  • Have excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrate creativity, adaptability and a child-centred approach to teaching.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • Be able to make an immediate contribution from September 2026.

Experience delivering PSHE, RSE, Citizenship, Health Education or Life Skills within a specialist setting would be highly advantageous.
