SEN Teacher – Full-Time

Yeovil | September 2026 Start

Teaching Personnel is recruiting an experienced SEN Teacher for a rewarding full-time opportunity within a specialist educational setting in the Yeovil area.

This position begins in September 2026, although an earlier start may be available for the right individual.

We are looking for a confident and knowledgeable practitioner who can hit the ground running from day one. You will already have experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and be passionate about delivering high-quality, personalised education that enables every learner to achieve their full potential.

 

The Opportunity

This role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons that are carefully adapted to meet a broad range of learning profiles. Working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will create an environment where pupils feel safe, motivated and supported to succeed both academically and personally.

  • Planning creative and differentiated lessons.
  • Delivering an engaging curriculum tailored to individual EHCP outcomes.
  • Monitoring attainment and recording pupil progress.
  • Promoting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and wider professionals.
  • Building positive relationships with families and carers.
  • Creating an inclusive, structured classroom where every learner can thrive.
  • Maintaining safeguarding and professional standards at all times.

 

We Are Looking For

  • Have previous experience teaching within an SEN environment.
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Be able to confidently manage a classroom independently.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisation.
  • Be adaptable, resilient and solution-focused.
  • Have a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
