SEN Teacher, Blackburn School

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Head Teacher who is looking for a KS3/4 Teacher to deliver a range of subjects in a secondary behavioural unit. The School is smaller than average and you would only be expected to deliver lessons to classes of 5 or 6 pupils at a time. Some of the pupils you may work with can be aggressive or violent in their behaviours, however, there is always at least one TA or Support Worker in class with you at all times.

The School is small and based on the outskirts of Darwen/Blackburn. The Head Teacher at the School is looking to create a friendly, welcoming environment for both staff and students. Staff who are looking for a role in this School will ideally be Team Teach trained but this is not essential.

The candidate must be hard working, have experience supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties, be available to work from 8.30am - 4pm monday - friday and be willing to prepare and deliver a number of subjects.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £95 - 135 per day
