SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time – Bispham (FY2) – September Start 

Location: Bispham, FY2
Start Date: September 2025
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Ongoing, with potential for permanent placement

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have the experience, patience, and dedication to support students in reaching their full potential? If so, Teaching Personnel wants to hear from you!

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bispham from September. This is a full-time role supporting children across a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting

  • A calm, compassionate, and resilient approach to behaviour and learning

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A genuine commitment to the progress and well-being of every child

  • Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Team Teach, PECS, Makaton – desirable but not essential)

In This Role, You Will:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with additional needs

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities

  • Implement EHCP targets and contribute to regular progress reviews

  • Help create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment

  • Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
