SEN Teaching Assistant – Morecambe – Immediate Start

Location: Morecambe (LA4)
Start Date: ASAP
Position: Full-time, Mon–Fri
Salary: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Temporary (with potential to go permanent)

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Morecambe. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with children with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.

The Role:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs

  • Supporting the class teacher with daily activities and behaviour management

  • Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs)

  • Encouraging inclusion and engagement in all areas of school life

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience working in a school or SEN setting

  • Be patient, compassionate, and resilient

  • Be confident in supporting children with a range of special educational needs

  • Have a clear DBS registered with the update service (or be willing to apply for one)

  • Hold relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
