1:1 Support Assistant – Year 5 (ADHD Support)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Bispham who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Support Assistant to work with a child in Year 5 with ADHD, starting in September.

About the Role:
This is a full-time position, providing consistent, tailored support throughout the school day to help the pupil access learning, regulate behaviour, and build confidence. The ideal candidate will have a calm, patient manner and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil with ADHD

• Implement strategies to support concentration, emotional regulation and positive behaviour

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to adapt activities and routines

• Monitor and report progress and behaviour

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with ADHD or similar needs is desirable

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills

• A nurturing, resilient and flexible approach

• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
