SEN Support staff - Tameside

A Special School located in Tameside are currently looking to recruit a Teaching Assistants who has experience working with children or adults with very profound learning difficulties. This position is commencing as soon as possible and will involve working until July 2019.

This Setting is a small special needs primary school which is located in Tameside. The pupils who attend the Setting are aged between 4 - 19 and have a Statement of SEN or an EHCP, on the autistic spectrum and/or have significant communication and interaction difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

The role is for a PMLD Teaching Assistant will involve working in collaboration with a Teacher to support the optimal development of pupils with SEN needs. The role will also involve working directly with pupils in either small groups or on a 1:1 basis to support their ongoing development.

It would be beneficial for the Teaching Assistant to have experience of planning and delivering specialised interventions designed to support the optimal development of all pupils. We would also welcome applications from those who are less experienced but have personal experiences supporting individuals with SEN.
