SEN Support Assistant Needed (PMLD) Basingstoke
Teaching Assistant/Support Assistant
Here at Teaching Personnel we are on the look out for someone who is exceptionally caring and willing to make a real difference to the lives of young people with SEN, such as profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs. We are looking for a person who will meet the changing needs of young people by offering a very high level of support.
The ideal candidate will…
- Be a calm and caring individual
- Preferably have Moving and Handling and/or Team Teach Training (this is something that us at Teaching Personnel can provide for you!)
- Have previous experience in supporting children and young people with SEN
- Be willing to positively impact the lives of young people in the most rewarding way
The role involves…
- Working together with other support staff, teachers and therapists to develop children's educational care programmes
- Adapting to the individuality and uniqueness of those in your care
- Using a wide range of strategies to boost children's communication abilities
- Reducing the anxiety of pupil's with challenging needs to support their comfort and education
- Supporting the families of children in your care
