This is a full-time role starting in September and will carry on until the end of the academic year. A SEN support assistant is needed to work 1:1 with pupils in Year 3 with Autism and speech and language communication needs.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children with special educational needs and experience working with children with complex needs is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will need to be positive and bubbly at all times and be able to get down to the pupils level to play with them and support their emotional needs.

The role will consist of working on a 1:1 basis in the class room and also delivering interventions outside the class room as well to raise attainment. Due to the complex needs of pupils, experience working with behavioural needs and social emotional mental health needs is desirable but not essential.

This Bury primary school is smaller than average and is in the heart of the local community. The schools offer a positive and rich experience for all children, which will be characterised by a broad and balanced curriculum and carried out in a happy and supportive atmosphere.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
