1:1 SEN Support, Bolton (BL6)

The school is an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school located in Bolton (BL6). It is a caring school that welcomes all. The Head Teacher requires a full-time Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a child in Year 1 with down’s syndrome and who is non-verbal. Leaders place a high importance on making sure that all pupils’ needs are met and pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported extremely well.

Whilst experience of working with young people in an education setting would be an advantage, we welcome applications from candidates who are looking for an opening into a career in education from alternative backgrounds, such as Support Workers or Carers. Needless to say, you will need to have a real desire and passion to work with children, especially the most vulnerable. 

Candidates will need to have a minimum of a Level 2 certificate (or a recognised equivalent qualification). Candidates should indicate any subject or specialism which may help to match them to student needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
