Job description
1:1 SEN Support, Bolton (BL6)
The school is an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school located in Bolton (BL6). It is a caring school that welcomes all. The Head Teacher requires a full-time Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a child in Year 1 with down’s syndrome and who is non-verbal. Leaders place a high importance on making sure that all pupils’ needs are met and pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported extremely well.
Whilst experience of working with young people in an education setting would be an advantage, we welcome applications from candidates who are looking for an opening into a career in education from alternative backgrounds, such as Support Workers or Carers. Needless to say, you will need to have a real desire and passion to work with children, especially the most vulnerable.
Candidates will need to have a minimum of a Level 2 certificate (or a recognised equivalent qualification). Candidates should indicate any subject or specialism which may help to match them to student needs.
If you would like to apply, and hold the qualifications and experience required, please click ‘Apply Now’ and uploaded your up-to-date CV or register online at https://register.teachingpersonnel.com/.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
