SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools

Are you committed to supporting children with Additional Learning Needs in a primary school setting? Teaching Personnel are working closely with welcoming and supportive schools across the Vale of Glamorgan who are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work in nurturing environments where your support will have a direct and lasting impact on pupils’ confidence, development and academic progress.
The Role:
-
Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN/ALN
-
Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and behavioural needs
-
Working closely with the class teacher and ALNCo to deliver personalised learning plans
-
Encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviour
-
Supporting pupils both in the classroom and during structured interventions
-
Helping to create a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience working with children or young people (school, care, coaching or similar background)
-
SEN experience is highly desirable
-
Calm, patient and resilient approach
-
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
-
Passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning
-
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
