SEN General Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel works with many SEN schools across South Wales, including those in Swansea. I am looking for a teaching assistant who lives in Swansea who drives and has access to a car. Ideally you’ll have experience working with PMLD students and currently looking for work. Preferably, you’ll also have experience working with MLD and SLD students too, as the SEN school that are in need of a teaching assistant also have pupils with those SEN needs.
The school is a large SEN school that has been purpose built to cater to pupils with PMLD, SLD and MLD, along with some severe ASC. They have created a curriculum based on sensory learning involving sounds, lights and interactive activities to encourage learning. Ideally the right candidate would have experience working with these needs and experience using the suitable curriculum. Additional training such as Moving and Handling, Team Teach and NASEN is advantageous but not essential.
