SEN Teaching Assistants Required In and Around Newcastle

  • Do you work in care/support and looking to move to education?
  • Experienced in working with Special Education Needs and Disabilities?
  • Available for Long and Short term work?

Teaching Personnel are the UK's leading education staffing provider, a nationwide company, with a large, established local presence. We offer a vast amount of varied work to teachers every day; short term, day to day, emergency cover, medium term to long term positions and permanent placements. All of our teachers and support staff benefit from exclusive CPD courses through our CPD Academy.

I am looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to supply a SEN-specific provision, including children with PMLD. Experience working with children with physical disabilities is essential, ideally coupled with moving & handling and personal care. Experience with Peg Feeding will be an additional advantage, as will an experience with handling medications.

The ideal candidate will be able to slot easily into a SEN school setting and be able to take initiative when supporting the class teacher, so experience in a similar environment would be an advantage. Successful candidates will have a ‘hands-on’ attitude when it comes to working with pupils with SEN, and may be expected to assist with personal care.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates applying to jobs through Teaching Personnel must undertake or have undertaken an Enhanced Disclosure (Child Workforce Only) via the DBS - Full assistance provided (AGY).
