Our Outstanding school have a high proportion of students with a statement of Special Educational Needs. The department works closely with SEND, Pupil Premium, EAL and disadvantaged students, parents, heads of year, tutors and subject staff to support individual needs. There is disabled access to the majority of the school site.
The TAs not only provide support in the classroom, but also lead small groups for students who would benefit from catch-up literacy, numeracy, study skills and social skills.
They require minimum we require A Level standard applicants with GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent.
The role would suit those who were looking to move on to a career in teaching as well as those who are committed to the role of Teaching Assistant.
The hours are generally 28 per week, 8.30 - 3.15 daily with unpaid morning and lunch breaks. The salary quoted is for this number of hours but applications from those wishing to work fewer than 5 days a week are also welcomed.
